Blogging is big news these days. There are some fortunate people who make their living from it, but for the most of us it is something that perhaps we feel we should do but don’t know where to start.

Or maybe you have a blog already but get writers block with it so don’t make use of the opportunities it presents you.

Benefits of a blog: why you should be blogging for your business

A blog is good for your business in many ways and if well thought out, doesn’t have to be a chore to get out there.

Benefits of a blog: Here are a few reasons why you should be blogging for your business.

All the search engines like fresh information on your website, so a blog is the perfect way to keep it updated with new content. It keeps your website updated but means you don’t have to reinvent the wheel with your standard service or product information.

You want people to visit your website, right? Regular blog posts gives them a reason to do so and many people will check out what else you have to offer, which increases traffic to other areas of your website. Make sure you link back to your blog posts on your social media so people are aware that there are new posts out there.

If you enjoy what you do your passion can come across in your posts and set you up as an expert with your target market. By showing you really know what you are talking about your reputation with your target market grows and makes it more likely that they will purchase from you, especially if you offer service rather than a product.

To keep a relationship alive you need to keep in contact. A blog helps build communication with a large number of people at one time, with little effort from you. Just make sure you check for comments on your posts and reply to them or your hard work will be for nothing!

Most importantly, writing a blog can be good fun! It helps you stay connected with your passion, business and community and gives you a creative outlet to discuss ideas.
